May is already turning into a mad month for Samsung phone releases, in just 9 days we’ve seen the launch of Samsung Galaxy S3 deals in both pebble blue and marble white colour schemes and the introduction of the Samsung Galaxy Mini 2, Ace 2, Ace Plus and Galaxy S Plus in white!
With so many new models (and model names) now available it all starts to blur the differences between the handsets, that is of course except for the new flagship Galaxy SIII which so many consumers have been waiting for, here’s a quick run down of the primary features of these new models in order of their specifications.
Samsung Galaxy S3
Boasting a larger and sharper display than the previous Samsung Galaxy S2 the new S3 offers a 4.8 inch, 1280 x 720 Super AMOLED HD touch screen along with a far faster quad-core 1.4GHz processor and 1GB of RAM, there’s 16GB of internal memory (with a 32GB model planned for an exclusive launch on Vodafone) which can be expanded further with MicroSD cards.
On the back is an 8 mega pixel camera supporting full HD 1080p video capture which also offers the ability to snap still images whilst in video mode which was first introduced in the rival quad-core HTC One X, running the new Android 4.0.4 operating system the Galaxy S3 is the most advanced smart phone from Samsung so far.
Ideal for those looking for the latest in mobile technology.
Samsung Galaxy S Plus White
Joining the original black edition the new White Galaxy S Plus upgrades the original Galaxy S model with features like a 4 inch 480 x 800 pixel WVGA touch screen, a 5 mega pixel camera with 720p video capture, Android 2.3 and 2GB of expandable memory all powered by a 1.4GHz processor, you could basically view this new smart phone as a larger version of the Galaxy Ace Plus.
A good choice for anyone wanting a larger touch screen experience on a budget.
Samsung Galaxy Ace 2
An upgrade to both the original Samsung Galaxy Ace and the more recent Galaxy Ace Plus the new Ace 2 packs a dual-core 800MHz processor with 768MB of RAM, a 5 mega pixel camera with 720p HD video, a 3.8 inch 480 x 800 pixel TFT touch screen, the Android 2.3 OS and a generous 4GB of internal expandable memory.
The Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 offers all the features of more expensive Android models packed into a pocket friendly and affordable smart phone.
Samsung Galaxy Mini 2
Sporting a 3.27 inch 320 x 480 pixel touch display this is a direct upgrade to the previous Samsung Galaxy Mini, there’s a 3 mega pixel camera on the back with VGA video capture, an 800MHz processor with 512MB of RAM, a good 4GB of flash memory which can be expanded and Android 2.3 OS all squeezed into a housing measuring just 109 x 59 x 12mm.
Fun and funky, the Galaxy Mini 2 is ideal as an entry level Android phone.
