Personalised Gifts Straight from the Comfort of Your Own Home

St Peter Jersey, Christmas Eve 2010: Walk through any shopping centre and it will soon become apparent that each and every store has pretty much the same products on sale. Everything is about what’s fashionable that season; the choices are very limited. Some stores do offer one off personalised products but they cost the world. Finding Personalised Gifts for friends and family or even colleagues can prove to be quite tough unless you can afford expensive products. Gift buying is an important part of relationship building; however, you don’t want to present a gift that your loved has in bundles. Scarves, jumpers, hats and winter socks are all very useful during this time of year but seem to be a little but bland. It doesn’t matter how useful your presents are it just doesn’t hold the same level of surprise that Personalised Gifts hold. You wish to gift your loved one with something that they will cherish for many years and last far longer than a pair of socks would. Why not join the increasing number of consumers who are switching to Personalised Present to add a more unique flavour to gifting ideas. Unique Personalised Gifts show thought and consideration towards the person that you love by letting them know that you spent time thinking about them and only them.

Operations Director of the Personalised-Gift-Shop.co.uk Paul Lakeman said; “Buying Personalised Gifts may seem quite a difficult task when you walk through your high street but it really doesn’t need to be as difficult as you first think. The Personalised-Gift-Shop has a great selection of gifts that can be personalised for any event or occasion. Each and every one of our Gift selection can be personalised with a unique message written by you and delivered straight to welcoming arms of your loved ones. We guarantee that your loved ones faces will light up as soon as the gift arrives to the UK address of your choice. Whether it is for a Christmas, Christening, Birthday or Anniversary Gift we will ensure that we have perfect Unusual Personalised Gift for you. They make beautiful Personalised Mothers Day Gifts and Unique Valentine’s Day Gifts. Paul Lakeman says, “The idea behind our Personalised Gift Shop was due to listening to the demands from the public stating that they were tired of purchasing gifts that everyone appreciated but didn’t symbolise exactly how much the gifted person meant to them. Our Personalised Gifts range answers that feeling by providing a massive selection of gifts with a unique message, written by you. We pride ourselves in making sure your gift is as unique as the person you are gifting. We really hope that once you browse through our extensive catalogue you will see for yourself just how delightful these Personalised Gifts are.

These Personalised Gifts have been on the market for many years but are increasing in popularity thanks to easy access to the internet and the increase in a demand for gift ideas that are specifically created for the person you wish to gift. It is an ideal way to remove the stress of trying to find something unique and all in the comfort of your own home.

Editors notes:  The Personalised Gift Shop will go live early in 2011 Personalised Gifts can be delivered throughout the UK, at any time of the year and for any occasion

Making Emotional Connections With Personalised Gifts

Everyone loves receiving gifts. It is not just the giving that we take into consideration it is the thought that the gift giver has given to the purchase. Especially when we are younger on Birthdays at Christmas and on other special occasions we eagerly wait for the postman to come wondering what gifts and cards we will receive. I remember when I was child I had difficulty sleeping on Christmas Eve and would wake early with excited anticipation of what Gifts and Presents Santa had left for me. These days the emergence of online gift shop offering thousands of gifts many that can be personalised using different techniques has made gift buying simpler and more convenient than it has ever been. It is always great receiving gifts and if the gift has been personalised for you it is warmly received as you can see the thought and effort the giver has put into it. Personalised Gifts need not be an expensive alternative to shop bought gifts and all it takes is a little thought and online access to create gifts that are suitable for any family member, friend or business associate. So when you are looking for Christmas Presents and Gift Ideas then you must take a look at some of the gift personalisation sites and choose gifts that show you really care about them and that you have taken time to purchase a gift that is truly unique. Not only will the recipient be delighted with your gift choice but you will feel good about yourself. Studies have proven that there is a distinct noticeable improvement in peoples self value when they send Personalised Gifts for they know these types of unique gifts will be gladly received.

The giving of gifts throughout out time has always been about making emotional connections. The function of gift giving can be broken down into four attributes; Communication, social exchange, economic exchange and socialization. In a recent report Unity Marketing stated this; “Gift shopping is the ultimate in ‘emotional consumerism,’ since gift giving is all about emotionally connecting gift givers and gift recipients. Whenever consumer shopping behaviour is driven by emotion, the overall goal of the shopping experience is for the customer to buy a thing in order to achieve a special feeling, enhance an experience or to deepen an emotional reaction. In other words, the gift itself is the means to an end, and that end is to strengthen the emotional connection between individuals.”

In 1979 Russell Belk published a research paper on gifts. He stated; “The function of gift giving serves to allow a message to be passed on from the giver to the receiver. This form of symbolic communication acts as both the message and the channel, therefore reducing the possibility of distortion. Due to a lack of flexibility in the specific meanings that can be conveyed by a gift, as well as different encoding and de –coding perceptions, gift giving is not always an effective method of communicating messages.”

This maybe so with shop bought gifts but a Personalised Gift can become a very effective means of communication as the message is applied directly to the gift.

As Gift giving is a personal emotional gesture that sends out different sentiments then it is imperative that you send out the right sentiment and there is no better way to do this than with gifts that are personalised. There are no excuses, look for websites that provide all the functionality necessary to select and personalise unique gifts. As the nature of gift giving is altruistic one should always attempt to maximise the pleasure of the recipient and only Personalised Gifts can achieve this.

The Magnificent Seven: Personalised Gifts

Jersey Channel Islands 27-11-2010: Personalised Gifts Review

The giving of Gifts that are personalised demonstrates sincerity and shows that thought has been given to your purchase. The Personalised Gift has become the favourite choice for many gift buyers and numerous internet sites offer a massive selection of products that can be personalised and sent as unique gifts. This review will look at some of the options available to you. A good starting point is google.co.uk and the search term type personalised gifts. We will take a look at the first page top seven organic listings and pick some of our favourite personalised gifts for different gift giving occasions.

  1. Getting Personal: The Daddy of Personalised Gift shopping, undoubtedly offers the best selection of Personalised Gifts and Personalised Cards in the UK.  It lists over 4000 Gifts ideas for you to choose from. Getting Personal offer a 48 Hour Courier delivery service for this product. We all have Football fans in our families so this gift will make a great Birthday or Christmas Present.
  2. Find-me-a-gift: Another great gift site offering a large selection of presents and Personalised Gifts for all occasions. A perfect timeless wedding gift that will surely delight the Bride and Groom and act as a great keepsake.
  4. Bags of Love: This Unique website specialises in hand made personalised photo gifts. My favourite is the Graffiti Bag which can be personalised with the names of you children, move over Louis Vuitton, these bags rock! They offer a fast UK delivery service.

The Attraction of Online Shopping for Personalised Gifts

Jersey Channel Islands 27-11-2010: Why more and more people shopping for Personalised Gifts online.

Convenience

This is the single most important benefit to internet shopping. People love the fact that they can look and select their Personalised Gift choices from the comfort of their homes, offices or even on the move using their laptops and mobile phones. Leading online Personalised Card retailer Moonpig has an excellent App for IPhones. The internet hasn’t taken the place of retail shopping it never will but it is sucking serious business away from traditional Bricks and mortar retailers. Most savvy businesses are turning to a Bricks and Click model.

  • The internet offers products not available locally to the customer. This applies especially to Personalised Gifts and Personalised Greeting Cards; you can’t go into your local retailer and design a personalised gift or card. But you can go online, log on to vendors like MoonPig, The Dog’s Doodahs or Funky Pigeon (recently acquired by W H Smiths who can see the rapid increase in demand for all things personalised) upload an image, and add text making a unique personalised greeting card. Cards bought from these retailers are usually highly customised and more importantly very intimate and something you may not wish to share with a shop assistant.
  • The internet meets the consumers demand for ease and convenience when spending money. Today the High Streets or full of shops with unhelpful staff who would rather discuss last night’s ‘I’m a celebrity get me out of here’ rather than spend time help you. Parking is expensive or non-existent and the hustle and bustle of stores can be off putting.

 The Novelty Factor

Most successful online retailers offer products not available in Bricks and Mortar stores. You cannot walk into a shop and order a personalised teddy bear, a personalised bottle of wine or a personalised greeting card. Consumers are looking for Novelty Value they don’t want to buy gifts or cards that the recipient may receive from others. The buzzwords in gift buying are unique, unusual and personalised.

Price

Lower overheads experienced by online retailer’s leads to lower costs and greater product variety. High street rents are far too high for most personalised gift retailers. Consumers these days will visit price comparison sites seeking out the best deal. On high price point items savings can be considerable

Special Interest

If the recipient of the gift has an unusual interest and you wish to tailor your gift around this online shopping may be your only choice.

The Unexpected

People just love to receive gifts through the post especially when they have been personalised especially for them. Online personalised gifts retailers have identified this demand for unusual gifts and unique presents.

Disability

For people who are housebound or unwell the internet provides an excellent convenient shopping experience.

So if you are looking to buy Personalised Gifts this Christmas or for any other Gift Giving Occasions then make yourself a cuppa or pour yourself a glass of your favourite tipple, relax, log on and get creative with your gift giving

Website Launches Valentine’s Day Gift Guide

Jersey Channel Islands 27-11-2010: Valentine’s Day will soon be upon us and if you are like me you will be thinking about what to buy your partner. The very thought of Valentine’s Day is one of Hearts, Romance and of exchanging cards and gifts between lovers.

These days the Valentines Gift buyer is spoilt for choice and has an amazing selection of both online and offline products especially tailored for this auspicious occasion. Certain Gifts such as Beautiful Bouquets of Flowers, Perfumes and Heart shaped Chocolates have become synonymous with Valentine’s Day Gifts. There is no better to tell someone you love them than with a well thought-out and meaningful gift on Valentine’s Day. Making sure you chose the right gift is imperative and as you know the person you are buying the gift for intimately there is no reason whatsoever as to why you should play it safe and buy traditional gifts.

Flowers: I’m not against the buying of gorgeous flowers but maybe try Freesias as an alternative to Roses. The local florist may be a far more creative option as you can carefully select the blooms you know she loves, a single rose won’t do, and she deserves better than that.

Perfume: You could go for a lovely bottle of sweetly scented perfume go for a scent that’s unusual, I would recommend Lime, Basil and Mandarin from the Jo Malone Range, it’s so heavenly!

Chocolates: For Chocolates visit Hotel Chocolate rather that get a box of Ferrero Rocher grabbed from the supermarket shelf. Go for quality rather than quantity look for unique flavours that will surprise and delight her.

Drink: A Personalised Bottle of Wine would be a thoughtful Gift. Splash out on a bottle of Veuve Clicquot or Laurent Perrier Rose that will always be most welcomed before a romantic candlelight meal. If your budget doesn’t stretch to that go for a good Spanish Cava, make sure along with the glasses it is nicely chilled.

Lingerie: Many men fall into the trap of buying seductive lingerie, nothing wrong with that women adore felling sexy and the Agent Provocateur Collection is divine but please get something as a gift just for her!

Jewellery: Search online find a little box or trinket that you can get personalised with a name and a message of affection from you. Go Personalised and get her something she can keep for years to come, something to remind her of your feelings towards her.

Teddy Bears: Always loved and appreciated. Try FunkyBears where you can have your Teddy Bear Personalised with a unique message from you. ‘Love You Lots like Jelly Tots’ however you want to say it, tell her how you love her with a Personalised Teddy Bear.

Valentine’s Day Card: Take your time go online to Moonpig or The Dog’s Doodahs you can be romantic and humorous at the same time. Why not design a special Valentine’s Day Card that shows her your creative side.

Always try and be creative with your gifts and try and chose presents that are truly imaginative and will show your partner how much you love and appreciate her. This Valentine’s Day take your time and think about a Valentine Day Gifts she would love to receive. A small original bunch of handpicked flowers, scrummy chocolates, a chilled bottle of bubbly, a personalised teddy bear, go on you both deserve it!
