The Motorola Pro is a slight detour from the norm for a Motorola handset. The unit provides smart phone technology in the form of a 1 GHz A8 processor combined with version 2.2 of the android operating system, as well as providing a wealth of functionality within a compact unit that offers QWERTY keyboard capability and an impressive display screen. The unit itself measures just 119 mm x 61 mm wide whilst being 11 mm thick and weighing 134 g in weight.
The unit comes with a 3.1 inch TFT display screen which is capacitive in nature and offers touch screen functionality, coupled with a QWERTY keyboard which is located underneath for ease of text entry. The screen is able to display up to 16 million colours, all of which are contained within a 320 x 480 pixel screen resolution. This particular handset comes with a feast of connection options which including micro-SD card slot, which enables the user to increase the available memory capacity of unit up to 32 GB by utilising relevant cards. In addition the handset comes with class 12 versions of EDGE and GPRS, whilst also offering Bluetooth version 2.1 as well as micro-USB version 2.0. In addition high speed Internet access is available via the its own HSDPA connection which provides the means to access the net at speeds of up to 10.2 Mbps, whilst the alternative of Wi Fi is also available.
The handset also comes with an array of additional functionality which includes a 5.0 megapixel camera that operates at 2592 x 1944 pixels and includes auto focus, geo-tagging as well is a dual LED flash and also provides the opportunity to record video at 480 pixels at 30 frames per second. The unit also comes with satellite navigation, a selection of games, an MP4/MP3 multimedia player, a document viewer/editor, photo viewer/editor as well as predictive text input.
The Motorola Pro which in some ways similar to the Motorola Atrix offers a unit which combines functionality with style, perfectly within a compact unit.
